Speaker: Craig Trapani - SWFL Regional Manager Florida CFO Jimmy Patronis

Craig Trapani serves as the southwest regional manager for Florida’s chief financial officer and State Farm Marshall, Jimmy Patronis. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Craig and his family moved to Naples Florida in 1998 and have resided in the same house ever since. After graduating from Barron G. Collier high school, Craig attended the University of Tampa, where he completed his undergraduate education in international business – management and minor and economics. After realizing the importance of graduate education, Craig decided to stay at the University of Tampa, where he completed his masters of business administration through the universities coveted, 4+1 MBA program.

After graduating in December 2021, Craig moved back to Naples, and began his career in political consulting, serving as deputy director of political campaigns at TM strategic consulting in Lee county. During his time at TM strategic, Craig got to work on a variety of campaigns from the Cape Coral City Council, the Lee County school board and Lee County Board of county commissioners, the state House and Senate, and even a judicial race. Unfortunately, due to the devastation of hurricane Ian in Southwest Florida, Craig was no longer able to continue in his capacity as the deputy Director of political campaigns.

Through his connections at TM strategic consulting, Craig was able to interview for his current post with the office of CFO Jimmy Patronis. Craig began his role as the Southwest regional manager in January 2023. In this position, Craig has the unique opportunity to represent CFO Jimmy Patronis in eight different counties in Southwest Florida. Some of the duties prescribed to this role include, but are not limited to, meeting with a variety of elected officials and community leaders at the local, state, and federal level, attend various community events within his region, and liaison directly with constituents as to how the Florida Department of financial services can best be of help to them. Most notably, Craig has played a significant role in Southwest Florida’s recovery from hurricane on the insurance front, working directly with constituents to help them settle their claims from the devastating storm.

Craig is very much looking forward to presenting to the estate planning council as to the CFO, our department, and how we may be of best service to all of you in your professional capacities
